Aesthetically pleasing, energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

DES GmbH as TGA planners, have contributed significantly to the sustainable design of the buildings and thus won the prestigious KfW Award Bauen 2020 in the category of new buildings.

A showcase project for sustainable construction

With our TGA concept, we helped to make the new building district not only aesthetically pleasing, but also energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. The use of certified building materials and the integration of modern technologies enable a sustainable energy supply. Among other things, a heat pump with geothermal probes, a biogas cogeneration plant and photovoltaic systems are used. We are particularly proud of the innovative heat recovery from wastewater, a rarely used technology in Germany.

The architectural diversity of the project made it possible to implement a wide variety of floor plans, including row houses, stacked maisonettes and small granny apartments. During planning, we placed great emphasis on accessibility as well as on taking into account the individual needs and wishes of the future residents. In addition, generous gardens and terraces were created, combining urban living with a green oasis.

Energy-efficient and livable housing: UN Sustainability Goals

As building services planners, we have made a significant contribution to the fulfillment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with our sustainable concept. Through energy-efficient design and the use of renewable energy, we are contributing to the implementation of SDG 7 - Sustainable and modern energy for all. In addition, we contribute to the advancement of SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Settlements - by creating a vibrant urban neighborhood that combines ecological aspects, social neighborhoods and resource-efficient construction. Finally, we also support the goal of SDG 13 - Address climate change immediately - by implementing innovative solutions to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
